MFA Number Verification Check [CHK-1141]
This customer check verifies if the Number Verification feature for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is enabled.
Rationale
Number Verification adds an extra layer of security to the two-step verification process with Microsoft Authenticator. It requires the user to enter a number displayed on the screen during login, preventing inadvertent or malicious login approvals.
Fix
An automated fix is available through Attic. If the check output is a Notice, enabling Number Verification is advised.
Impact
If Number Verification is enabled, the check outcome will be Okay. If it is not yet enabled, the check outcome will be Notice.
